You will feel the stress leave your shoulders as you ascend into the tiny town of Val-des-Lacs.

Dog Sledding Adventures are only a few minutes away.

This tiny corner of the world must be the best kept secret in Quebec.  With only 400 homes in the entire municipality, it is almost completely natural.

Can you imagine this beautiful location exists so close to so many activites?

If you don’t want to get the Winter Blues, you must get outside and enjoy it. Our chalet is the perfect base for every possible winter activity you can think of.

Alpin Skiing/Snowboarding: Both the Tremblant north side ski lifts and Mont-Blanc in St-Faustin are just a 20 minute drive.

Dog Sledding: Just a few kilometres from our chalet there is one of the most popular dog sledding adventure companies in Quebec.  Make your reservation early!

SPAS: I recommend the nice quiet experience of Auberge Castello which is just a 10 minute drive and only $22/person.  However, for a bit more extravagence, one of the nicest in Tremblant is The Spa on the Lake and the most popular (very nice, but busy) is Spa Scandanave.  Both of these SPA’s are a 40 minute drive from the Chalet.

Ice Skating: Outdoor skating Rinks are everywhere in Quebec!  In the town center of Val-Des-Lacs there is a great rink open every day (Dec-Mar) from 8am – 11pm.  In St-Donat, it is worth checking out the skating loop (2km?) where dogs are permitted to skate with you.

Ice Fishing: To Etangs Tremblant (8 minute drive) where they have lots of different options waiting for you.

Trapping: Learn traditional AmerIndian Trapping and give it a go just 8 minutes from the Chalet at Kanatha-Aki .

Bison Reserve: Also at Kanatha-Aki, learn about and visit Bison in their natural habitat.

Cross-Country Skiing: If you would like to make your own path, just leave from the chalet in any direction!   For maintained trails, the UQAM Nature Centre is just a 10 minute drive away.   While you are there, check out the beautiful Belvediere Waterfalls (just a minute walk from the parking).   For beginner lessons, rentals and groomed trails, we recommend Val-David and Parc Dufrense (35 minutes).   Also, the main entrance for the National Park of Tremblant is just 25 mintues away.

SnowShoeing: Same for Cross-Country Skiing…Dogs are permitted on the trails (on leash) in Val-David.

Snow Tubing: There are 2 tubing centres in the area.  Adventure Neiges in St-Jovite is small, but inexpensive and is a 40 minute drive away.   Mont Avila in St-Sauveur is more expensive and bigger.  We have also had renters construct their own sledding run through the forest all along the side of our land…

Indoor Playground: Somedays it might be just too cold to be outside!  For kids 1-12 years old, take a drive to Jungle Magique in St-Faustin (20 minutes).  They also offer daycare…

Swimming Pools:  La Source in Tremblant is a ton of fun, but very busy.  For inexpensive fun, check-out the Super8 in Ste-Agathe instead.  Access is just $4 and they have a hot tub, waterslide and fun kids games.

Movie Theatres: There are 2 movie theatres in the area playing both English and French movies.  Pine Cinema in Ste-Adele (45 min) and in Mont Tremblant (30 min).

Bowling: The bowling alley in Ste-Agathe is just behind the Canadian Tire.

Snow Festival: In Ste-Agathe winter is celebrated from November-March with lots of fun events!

SnowMobile Rentals: Ste-Agathe is the best place for 1/2 day or full-day tours.

Restaurants and Shopping: Mont-Tremblant/ St-Jovite is fun for walking around and window shopping (30 min).  Ste-Agathe (20 min) has a cute town center with shops and services.  St-Sauveur (50 min) has factory outlets.  Val-David (35 min) has a few shops, and some fantastic dining.

Did I miss something?   Just ask!
